Help Puerto Rico Recover From Hurricane Fiona

An Amoveo Group Story

Sep 28, 2022

In 2019 Amoveo leadership decided that we would begin work in Puerto Rico to help with the delayed infrastructure rebuilding efforts caused by Hurricane Maria. Unfortunately, Covid-19 waylaid our much-anticipated launch scheduled for the summer of 2020.

Two years later, we began preparations to re-launch our efforts in 2023 with Matt Peace's site visit in the February of 2022 to meet with our community partners in Bayamon. As fate would have it, Hurricane Fiona struck the Island last week, leaving already weak infrastructure and power and network grids wholly decimated. Even though Amoveo is not an emergency relief agency, we have always committed our resources (Funding and Partners) to respond in the healthiest way possible. We will provide resources to those in need through our project base and partner in Bayamon.
