Who Can Participate On a Trip?

Anyone at least 12 years old OR entering the 7th grade in the fall of the year they will be traveling

What Is Your Policy On Deposits, Payments, And Cancellations?

A 10% non-refundable deposit is due at registration, 50 % due 90 days prior to your trip, and 100% due 30 days prior to your trip. If you have a cancellation, you’ll lose the deposit unless we are less than 30 days out then the entire fee will be forfeited.

How Safe Are Trips?

The health and safety of our participants, local partners, and members of the communities we serve is a priority for Amoveo Group. We take high precautions and Amoveo Group Staff are trained in emergency response protocols.

Where Do We Stay?

Each teams' needs are unique. Our housing will always be safe and come with climate control (when needed) and hot water. Our range of accommodations can run from a hostel to a hotel level.

What Would I Do On a Trip?

Each project is unique in regards to serving strategically the needs of the community we are serving in. During the day we will be serving in a myriad of ways … whatever Amoveo Group in partnership with the leaders in the community have deemed sustainable and contributing to the long-term strategy of the project. How Many Trips Are Available?

Because of the number of projects and unique opportunities in each community, our need for teams far outways the supply. This means that we've availability to have trips going year-round. You can find out more about specific trips and needs for each project on our Projects tab.

How Long Is a Trip?

Trips are traditionally 3-7 days long. However, if you have a particular request please use the "trip question" button on our contact page and someone from our team will reach out to see if it could be accommodated.

How Much Money Does a Trip Cost?

Most people will use friends and family to raise funds for their trip. Raising money for your trip helps build a support team from home who can encourage you during your trip. It also allows the opportunity for your loved ones to invest in you as a person, in your personal growth, and impact communities around the world through you. Each project has a unique economy and living situation, therefore the costs will vary depending on which project you are serving at. How Do We Get To the Project Locations?

Each person/team is responsible for their transportation to and from our projects. Our Mexico and US-based projects require you to have your own transportation during the trip but our Amoveo team can point you to tried and trusted transportation options when choosing your transportation needs.

Financial Accountability?

In accordance with IRS guidelines and Pennsylvania state law, we have a board of directors who provide oversite and would be best described as advisory. Day to day operations are lead by Tim Brokopp, our Director of Operations, and Matt Peace, our Director of Development.

Does Amoveo Group Have a Statement Of Faith?

We Are a development organization thus we seek to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Though we partner with churches and individual Christians, we are not involved in work exclusively focused on activities like evangelism, starting churches, or bible education. That being said, we are people of faith serving and working with others from many backgrounds. We believe conviction and compassion matter. We believe differences in faith and practice should not necessarily be used to keep people from working together to improve humanity.

How Can I Donate To a Specific Project.?

Go to the project page and click on one of the donations options under the donate button. That will take you to a secure online donation portal. How Is Amoveo Group Funded And How Much Do You Spend On Overhead?

Amoveo Group receives contributions from a variety of sources, such as churches, local and national foundations, domestic and international corporations, and from individual donors. 

Amoveo Group spends less than 10% of its revenues on overhead.

What Would I Do As a Pathfinder?

Each Pathfinder opportunity varies by project and time of year. Overall you will work alongside Amoveo local staff for service opportunities that can fit your passions and professional aspirations. You can find out more about each project on our Projects tab.

A summer (1-3 months), a semester (3-6 months), or a year + (1 - 2 years).

Are Pathfinders Paid?

Like most volunteer opportunities with non-profits, you will be required to cover the costs related to your role, however, we do have fundraising mechanisms that hundreds of Pathfinders have used to great success.

How Much Does a Pathfinder Opportunity Cost?

Each project has a unique economy and living situation, therefore there are two levels of Pathfinder opportunity costs – low cost of living projects (LCLP) and high cost of living projects (HCLP). The monthly amount for an LCLP is $1500 a month and for an HCLP it is $2500 a month.

Are Amoveo Group Staff Positions Paid?

Amoveo Group staff are involved in 100% of the fundraising for their salaries, project expenses, and administrative expenses to serve. This number can vary significantly depending on what country of service, marital status, experience, and job requirements. Although this is a daunting task, Amoveo Group has a team that will walk you through an onboarding process with systems and tools that can help you get there and stay there.

What Kinds Of Projects Is Amoveo Group Involved With?

We are involved in mobilizing people, material, and financial investment in projects which spur sustainable solutions to physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. These needs vary based on the community. We have built homes, orphanages, food banks, started farms, started new businesses to create jobs, and founded drug rehab centers. What we do varies, but is always focused on strategic initiatives utilizing relevant methods.
